在一座普普通通的女子高中，相貌平平兼性格软弱的道子（橋本愛饰）毫不意外地成为学校女王妙子（坂田梨香子饰）欺负的对象。适值此时，女生中间流行着一种SNS虚拟游戏，通过手机为虚拟形象配置华丽的衣服和饰品，在引起周遭羡慕嫉妒的同时，也打发着无聊漫长的学校时光。道子偶然接触这一游戏，旋即沉湎其中不能自拔，可是在妙子的压制下她始终无有出头天。在另一个备受欺凌的女孩的帮助下，道子不择手段武装自己的“虚拟形象”。她的风头很快盖过妙子，继而成为学校新的女王。女孩们的膜拜与敬畏，让她彻底模糊了现实与虚拟的界限……本片根据山田悠介的同名原著改编。
