影片改编自同名网络小说。平凡上班族金独子（安孝燮饰），唯一嗜好是阅读网络小说《在灭亡的世界中存活的三种方法》，不过在长达十年的连载期间，他却是这个小说的唯一读者。当金独子在地铁车厢读完小说最终话时，小说中的场景却转瞬成为现实。地铁车厢仿佛成为人间炼狱，巨大怪物正践踏着这座城市，以及凭空出现在眼前的讯息：“您收到了第一个主线任务。”紧接着，熟悉的小说角色纷纷登场，而那个无比强大、牵动着整个世界命运的小说主角刘众赫（李敏镐饰），开始照着剧情一一行动。眼看熟悉的世界将不复返，一个崭新的世界正在诞生，身为唯一知晓这个新世界结局的金独子，将在升级自身能力的同时，打造出与原本小说截然不同的结局。

影片改编自全球现象级畅销小说《蝲蛄吟唱的地方》。主角是一名叫做基娅（黛西·埃德加-琼斯饰）的女孩，她遭到家人遗弃，在北卡罗来纳州中一片危险的沼泽地里独自生活并长大。多年来，基娅受到小镇居民的排挤和歧视，她被戏称为“沼泽女孩”。在情窦初开的年纪，两名小镇青年陆续闯入了基娅的世界，她敞开了自己的心扉。但爱情的伤害接踵而至，一件突如其来的谜案更让她陷入了失去自由的危险境地。

2012年，人类被不知名病毒感染，纽约成为一座空城。RobertNeville（WillSmith饰）是为军方服务的科学家，也是对病毒有免疫力的幸存者。白天，他带着狗Sam在街道上寻找食物，用广播寻找幸存者，在实验室里研究治愈病毒的方法；晚上，他只能躲在屋子里，因为那些感染病毒而没有死亡的人们，成为了“夜魔”只能夜晚出来活动，丧失理智，会攻击所有的人。某天，Sam也感染病毒死去，RobertNeville陷入了前所未有的孤独。当他准备和“夜魔”们同归于尽的时候，另外一个幸存者Anna(AliceBraga饰)救了他。Anna相信山上的隔离区还有幸存者，但是固执的RobertNeville却坚持守在纽约。又一个晚上，“夜魔”攻击RobertNeville的住所，此时他的研究已经获得成功，但是只有坚持到天亮，人类才能得以延存。

农村姑娘彩凤（张雨绮饰）跟同伴来到一家号称哈佛毕业生开的诊所，希望可以通过整容手术变漂亮，但是整容医生（吴彦祖饰）的拙劣表现，令她们无功而返。后来，两人挤上了开往上海的货车。来到大城市，人生地不熟，彩凤却对大屏幕里的街舞情有独钟，原来她也曾经是乡舞蹈队的一员。然而，现实的压力却让她只能把梦想暗藏心底。一次偶然的机会，她进入了朗（立威廉饰）所开的红星公司，虽然工作是清洁工，但可以有机会接触到街舞，让她非常兴奋，时常默默练习。朗是公司老板，富家子弟，每天周旋于红男绿女之间，希望通过街舞大赛帮公司创品牌。他遇到彩凤后，被她对街舞的执着打动，便提供了一个机会，希望帮她实现梦想。然而，因为一次误会，令彩凤伤心地回到了家乡。她还能有机会站在五光十色的舞台上实现梦想吗？
